Constitution Day on 26th November 2025

JSPM University celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with a programme and elocution competition organized by the Faculty of Education and Humanities in collaboration with the School of Political Science and School of Law. The event was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Vinaya Deshpande Pandit and attended by students and faculty members.

The programme included the lighting of the lamp, Preamble reading, addresses by dignitaries, and an elocution competition. It successfully promoted awareness of constitutional values, enhanced students’ public speaking skills, and encouraged a sense of responsibility, national pride, and respect for democratic principles.

First Internal Moot Court Competition 2025

JSPM University organized the First Internal Moot Court Competition on 10th November 2025 through the MDL Cell, School of Law. The competition witnessed participation from six teams and focused on issues related to Tort Law and Consumer Protection Law.

The event included memorial submissions and oral rounds, where students presented arguments, rebuttals, and responded to judges’ questions. Judged by legal experts, including Civil Judge Ms. Shubhangi Ghule, the competition provided students with practical exposure to court proceedings.

Overall, the event enhanced students’ legal research, advocacy, and public speaking skills while fostering confidence, teamwork, and interest in mooting activities.

Legal Aid Camp – Markal Village (10 April 2025)

JSPM University organized a Free Legal Aid Camp on 10th April 2025 at Markal Village, Taluka Khed, Pune, with the aim of promoting legal awareness and access to justice for underprivileged communities. The camp witnessed participation from 26 students and 5 faculty members.

The programme included awareness sessions on domestic violence laws and senior citizens’ rights, along with on-the-spot legal consultation for villagers. The initiative helped participants understand their legal rights, access welfare schemes, and receive guidance on common legal issues.

Overall, the camp successfully enhanced legal literacy, empowered rural citizens, and demonstrated the importance of community-based legal aid initiatives.

Court Visit to Pune District Court (25 March 2025)

The School of Law, JSPM University organized a court visit to the Pune District Court on 25th March 2025 to provide students with practical exposure to the judicial system. A total of 30 students from BBA LL.B and LL.B participated under faculty supervision.

The visit included observation of live courtroom proceedings, interaction with court officials, and visits to the filing office and administrative departments. Students also explored the historical significance of the court through a guided tour.

Overall, the visit enhanced students’ understanding of courtroom procedures, legal processes, and professional ethics while strengthening their legal reasoning and practical knowledge.
